ID Requirements for Pennsylvania
18 Years & Over
Bring a valid (not expired) form of government issued ID that includes a birthdate and a picture. Examples would be a driver license, state ID, military ID, passport, or a permanent resident care.
Alternative forms of ID that are acceptable are listed below. You MUST have one form of ID from EACH CATEGORY in order to be acceptable.
**Unoffical Photo ID**
-School Photo ID
-Work Photo ID
With Government Issued ID
-Temporary Drivers License
THERE ARE NEVER EXCEPTIONS IF PROPER ID IS NOT PRESENT!!! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY SO YOU ARE ABLE TO GET A PIERCING WHEN YOU VISIT!
The piercer may use his/her discretion on what procedures he is willing to do for minors. Jay McColm pierces at the Willow Grove location and does most the piercing work for the Pennsylvania shops. Jay offers earlobe piercings for children 10 years old and up.
ID requirements for minors are strict and you MUST bring in PROPER ID in order to get a piercing.
A parent or legal guardian must be present for a minor to get a piercing. A parent or legal guardian MUST bring in ID for herself along with ID for the minor that clearly shows she/he is the parent or legal guardian. The easiest form of ID for parents would be a government issued ID as specified for adults, along WITH a school ID AND birth certificate for the minor. If a school ID is unavailable, a yearbook with the child's picture and name is acceptable. The information on the birth certificate must clearly show the person with the minor is the parent. If name changes have been made, an official document showing the change of names must be brought in as well.
Other acceptable documents would be a valid ID for the minor and parent that shows matching last names and addresses - such as a driver license for each person.
PLEASE CALL IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT WHAT TO BRING FOR ID. IT CAN BE CONFUSING BUT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET A PIERCING WITHOUT PROPER ID.
